EcoAraguaia exists because we believe that preserving the forest is not about isolating life, but about integrating it.

Here, conservation, regeneration, and hospitality go hand in hand, creating a living model of coexistence between nature, people, and the future.

Located within the Fazenda do Futuro (Farm of the Future), EcoAraguaia houses the Guaíra Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN), a protected area created by conscious decision: to keep the forest standing, today and for future generations. Situated in the Araguaia Valley, in a rare meeting point between the Amazon and the Cerrado, the reserve functions as an ecological bridge between two of the richest—and most threatened—biomes on the planet.

More than protecting, we choose to regenerate.

The Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) expands the Cantão ecological corridor and strengthens a network of private conservation areas in Tocantins, contributing to the connectivity of life, regional climate balance, and the permanence of natural cycles that sustain rivers, forests, and communities.

In this living territory, gallery forests, cerrado woodlands, fields, and floodplains coexist, forming a mosaic of landscapes that shelters centuries-old trees such as the jatobá, copaiba, buriti, and sumaúma, symbols of strength, healing, and abundance in the region.

This plant richness sustains a diverse and emblematic fauna. Jaguars, giant anteaters, giant armadillos, crested curassows, Parnaíba woodpeckers, and more than 250 species of birds make the region a vibrant space of life and an important refuge for the biodiversity of Cantão.

But EcoAraguaia doesn't exist solely to protect nature. It exists to reconnect people with the forest.

Here, researchers, educators, and travelers meet in a living learning environment where science, tourism, and community connect.

Each visit supports research, environmental education, and reforestation projects, transforming the act of traveling into a gesture of care.

By staying at the EcoAraguaia Hotel Floresta, you become part of a larger movement: a model of purposeful tourism, where leisure and awareness go hand in hand, and where the experience of being in nature is also a commitment to the future of the Earth.
